We are to carry on the mission of Jesus Christ

Jesus' prayer in John 17 for his disciples also applies to all for his followers today. We find that authority is balanced with obedience. The more God places authority into the hands of His servants the more He requires obedience. It is unity that binds us together and to God to carry out the mission of sharing the Gospel Message. We must understand that it is not our words, but rather the Spirit of God's love in us that draws people to Jesus.
