The Spiritual failure & exile

I want to begin with a simple question: Have you ever made a decision you knew was wrong, but you did it anyway—and later, you had to deal with the consequences? I think all of us can relate. Sometimes it’s small things—like eating too much dessert even though the doctor said to watch your sugar. Sometimes it’s big—like walking away from God’s voice, ignoring His warnings, and ending up in a place you never thought you’d be.

Friends, that’s exactly what happened to the people of Israel. They had everything they needed to succeed spiritually. God had blessed them, given them His Word, given them prophets to speak truth. But instead of practicing faithfulness, they coasted. They cut corners. They ignored the warnings. And eventually, it caught up to them.

But here’s the good news: Even when we backslide and face the consequences of sin, God’s promises remain, and through Christ He offers us restoration and a fresh start.
